Spending about 3 hours watching how The Joker outwitted Batman in the latest film – The Dark Knight. Despite enjoying the scenes of destruction with my little nephew who squeeled when things got blown up, I really enjoyed the late Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker.I thought there were quite a few lessons to be learnt from the film. When the caped crusader was made to choose whoo he was going to save – Rachael Daws or Harvey Dent, it reminds me of one client – who was faced with cash flow issues and had to let go of one of his 2 properties. The one he choose to save was one that he thought would give him the most value at the end. But sadly my client was wrong, the remainding property left was difficult to lease out in a slowing market. Just like Harvey Dent – who eventually became “Two-Face”, my client’s property had a 50-50 chance of being saved.
The market is sometimes like “The Joker”, who claims to be an “Agent of Chaos” in the show, will sometimes deal you a great hand, but even with that, you still mmay not win the banker. So always play your cards closely, do not be caught in a situation where you are faced with an illiquid situation.
